Highlights and takeaways from User Group Summit 2019

Published on: October 18, 2019

Another fantastic event is in the books with User Group Summit 2019 wrapping up! We had a chance to catch up with old partners and meet new ones while showcasing our newest innovations for Microsoft Dynamics GP, D365 Business Central, and D365 for Finance and Operations. With the conference being so full of different announcements, launches, parties, and sessions, it’s hard to attend them all and remember the main takeaways. Our team attended as many of those as possible and highlighted their main takeaways below:

1. ASC 606 explained in five easy steps:
From attendance at our sessions, to every visit at our booth, both public and private companies were interested in learning about ASC 606, how they can comply with it, and what we can do to help. With the compliance date for private companies passing nearly a year ago, adoption is still not at the level it needs to be. Many came by worried about audit season approaching, and left relieved to hear about Subscription Billing Suite and how we enable compliance for the most complex scenarios. 2. Growth for all, worldwide:
While global representation has been trending upwards for the past few years, we were very happy to see a significant amount of our partners from Europe to Australia at this year’s event. We are thrilled to continue growing our global presence and enable the success of Dynamics users worldwide.

3. Microsoft is here to hear from you:
While at our booth, we were happy to see a large representation from Microsoft around the expo hall asking users what can be done better and how they can continue to improve the Dynamics and Power platforms. As a committed Microsoft partner, we, too, aim to continue improving and growing our solutions.

4. Power to the people:
The Power Platform generated lots of buzz at UG Summit, and Microsoft’s Corporate VP, Charles Lamanna, emphasized the focus on low-code and no-code tools to ensure accessibility and ease of use for all. With the addition of AI builder, PowerApps Portals, and updates to PowerBI, we can’t wait to discover new ways to help our customers streamline their business processes.

5. Customers and partners want to learn more about our solutions:
Many of our booth visitors waited to see demos of our different solutions and wanted to learn as much as possible about how to best use our solutions. We heard you loud and clear, and we are launching more eLearning videos to cater to your needs.
