Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for working with a designated Partner Account Manager to maximize the sales of Binary Stream products and services through a defined reseller channel. The Inside Sales Representative will collaborate with their peers in sales and marketing, as well as, all other relevant BSSI departments to support initiatives that drive the success of BSSI, with a key focus on sales and marketing related metrics.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with and support the Partner Account Managers to grow incremental business by expanding the BSSI footprint in existing reseller Partners and by sourcing, developing/cultivating new prospect Partners and related opportunities.
  • Assist the Partner Account Manager in coordinating appropriate pre-sales resources against specific opportunities, including:
    • Arranging and scheduling product presentations and demonstrations with the Partner Account Managers and Solution Consultants,
    • Assist in the preparation of sales related documents, including but not limited to: high level requirements, quotes, and proposals,
    • Working with the Partner Account Managers to maintain an accurate Sales Funnel using Microsoft CRM,
    • Having the ability to manage end to end sales cycles in closing sales of BSSI products and services (including quotations, finalizing sale, invoicing and collections) in conjunction with reseller Partners and under the mentorship of the Partner Account Managers.
  • Participate in Sales Meetings.
  • Participate in trade shows as required.
  • Responsible for assigned cross sales team functions, such as:
    • Support Director of Sales in maintaining update and accurate sales reports,
    • Interface with the Marketing department to ensure the effective management of the lead funnel,
    • Support and participate in marketing activities and programs,
    • Assist in arranging for customer references, case studies, and other activities from time to time,
  • Maintain and promote ethical relations with all partners, customers and BSSI peers and management.
  • Maintain and keep safe the records, files, assets, and property of Binary Stream Software Inc., its customers, clients and resellers.

Measures of Success

  • Work in collaboration with the Partner Account Manager to exceed all sales targets including:
    • Sales quotas / targets overall and by product,
    • Maintain the highest opportunity to close ratios possible,
  • Build and maintain a strong level of trust with assigned reseller partners,
  • Maintain an accurate sales funnel,
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and clearly articulate the value of BSSI solutions.

Technical Skills

  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of MS Office products including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM,
  • Communicates effectively, strong written and oral English communication skills,
  • Intermediate mathematical skills re: costing / estimating projects,
  • Advanced presentation skills with the ability to articulate the value of BSSI products in front of customers,
  • Proficiency with technologies such as remote collaboration tools i.e. VPN, GoToMeeting, webinars and adept to emerging technology tools.

Education and Experience

  • A post-secondary degree in business and/or Information Technology or a college diploma in a similar field, or equivalent experience,
  • Previous technical sales experience would be an asset,
  • Intermediate understanding of accounting concepts would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply learning effectively.
