For Signature HealthCARE, managing over 55 unique entities was laborious and time-consuming, leading to redundancies and poor visibility.
Signature HealthCARE is a leading provider of long-term nursing care in the United States with 20,000 employees and 126 locations spanning 10 states. Their mission is to radically change the landscape of healthcare forever.
Signature HealthCARE was operating over 55 unique entities and growing steadily. Each entity had a separate database, all within Microsoft Dynamics GP. As they grew, accounting staff became bogged down with accounts payable (AP) redundancies. Administration had become a time-consuming burden and they needed a solution which could handle their rapid growth and eliminate redundant processes.
With the guidance of an independent Microsoft Dynamics implementation consultant, introduced Signature HealthCARE to a solution that addressed all their challenges. Multi-Entity Management (MEM) enabled their team to shift from 55+ databases down to one single database.
Fast forward to today, with 239 separate entities and 20,000 employees, Signature HealthCARE now has a cost-effective, scalable solution that keeps pace with its extensive growth as well as saving accounting and IT teams countless hours per month.
Each entity can be accessed effortlessly without any lag time as they are all housed in the same database. This means the team no longer has to wait to load each one before they get to work. They can drill down easily and efficiently and can effortlessly view entities on a transaction-by-transaction basis.
Before Multi-Entity Management, Accounts payable had become an administrative nightmare. Simple tasks like backing up databases had begun to take up too much time and energy. Now, they have automated many of these processes and tasks, freeing up the accounts team to work on more complex problems.
Now that the accounts team is on top of accounts payable, they have time to quickly set up new entities during high growth periods. The new solution is faster and allows them to easily add general ledger (GL) accounts to each entity from a single database and ensure vendors match across all entities.
With the accounts team able to work quickly and efficiently between entities, month-end
closing, and annual reports are produced quickly and efficiently.
