Enhancing Microsoft Dynamics user experience with a robust new suite of integrated solutions
Vancouver, Canada (October 18, 2022) – Binary Stream, a global software firm specializing in subscription management, lease administration and financial consolidation, announced the acquisition of Vertical Leap Inc., known in the market as Business Central Addins and Dynamics NAV Addons. This step enables Binary Stream to expand its presence in the Microsoft Dynamics space, increasing its foothold and adding an arsenal of new tools to meet users’ needs and plug the whitespace in Microsoft’s ERPs.
The rapid growth of global Dynamics users means it’s critical to provide fully integrated solutions that increase the functionality of core ERPs. With this acquisition, Binary Stream expands its product line to save Business Central users time, resources, and headaches, by adding a suite of add-on solutions covering everything from advanced shipping management to simplifying complex imports.
“This acquisition builds on over 30 years of collective experience,” says Lak Chahal, CEO at Binary Stream. He adds, “We wanted to find a suite of solutions that strategically aligned with our vision, building on our existing experience and knowledge base. We know that users need front-end utilities that bolster Dynamics ERPs, and it’s exciting to invest in a range of products that elevates our ability to empower more customers than ever before.”
By acquiring a company that develops its solutions, Binary Stream gains an impressive array of new functionality, insights, and resources. The teams will work closely throughout the transition to ensure a smooth knowledge transfer from Vertical Leap.
“I’m proud of the suite of utilities we’ve built to meet the common challenges users were facing in the Microsoft ERP products,” says Mike Anderson, CEO at Vertical Leap. He adds, “This acquisition is the next logical step in an exciting journey for our products. Binary Stream can accelerate the adoption of these add-ons, allowing them to empower more customers than ever.”
The acquisition is one of several strategic initiatives targeting stronger relationships with Microsoft System Integrators in Dynamics 365. Already, efforts have resulted in significant growth over the past two years across all core solutions, specifically within the Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance customer base.
This announcement marks the next phase in Binary Stream’s growth. Lak Chahal is optimistic about what it means for the future, stating, “right now, we have a lot of momentum, and this deal enables us to level up while maintaining strategic alignment. We see this as the first of many opportunities to expand Business Central worldwide and will continue to acquire synergistic ISVs as we accelerate our growth.”
The team aims to build on a solid cultural foundation, which has been recognized with awards that include Best Place to Work, Inner Circle membership, Finalist for Business Central Partner of the Year, and most recently, acceptance to Microsoft’s ISV Acceleration program.
